A brand-spanking new, out of this world Mario title is set to be released for the Nintendo Wii next month. Super Mario Galaxy will take Mario boldly where he hasn’t gone before - outer space. Players will use the Wii remote and the Nunchuk controller in this game. What’s even better is that a second person can play along blasting obstacles out of Mario’s way as well as help to fight off enemies.

The final frontier will hold many challenges and surprises for Mario. A few screens show just a small sampling of what to expect in this new platform game.

Some power ups will transform Mario into a ghost or a bee. As Boo Mario, Mario can walk through walls. As a bee, Mario will be able to fly through the sky. Looks intriguing enough. Of course, all you really have to say is “Mario” to pique my interest. Super Mario Galaxy is slated to be released November 12 and will carry an E rating.

One million copies of Resident Evil 4 have been shipped worldwide according to Capcom. Resident Evil 4 is the latest sequel to the hugely popular video game first released in 1996.

In RE4, you play Leon Kennedy and explore a town overrun by cultists, mutants and mind-controlled villagers. Use the Wii Remote to aim, fire, slash and avoid oncoming adversaries with intuitive motions and movements. RE4 Wii Edition comes loaded with the additional content included with the PlayStation® 2 version.

Resident Evil 4 is rated M and retails for $29.99.

In honor of Halloween, Nintendo releases Castlevania® II Simon’s Quest for the Wii’s virtual console. In this one person adventure, you take on the role of Simon Belmont to once again go toe-to-toe with Count Dracula. This sequel is rated E and costs 500 Wii points.

The side-scrolling fun continues with the release of Magician Lord. It’s up to a magician named Elta, last descendant of the famed Magician Lord, to save the world from the evil Gul-Agieze. Magician Lord is rated T and costs 900 Wii points.

Last but not least is Samurai Ghost where Kagekiyo must defeat the spirits of shogun Yoritomo and his clan. This platform game not only has the big boss at the end of each stage but also includes real samurai from 12th century Japan. Samuari Ghost costs 600 Wii points and is rated E 10+.
