WiiTracker.com now has a section to find Wii Fit in stock. Of course, it’s not in stock anywhere but I do like the history. You can actually see that some places have had it in stock in recent days. It gives me hope that I will be able to buy it soon.

Those pesky red shells always seem to chase me down when I’m in first place. It’s incredibly frustrating. There are some techniques that you can deploy to avoid the red shells.

Bananas aren’t just a great snack but an effective way to diffuse those red shells. Drag a banana behind your kart to give a target for that approaching red shell.

Red or green shells work OK to combat an incoming red shell but don’t seem to work as well when dragged behind the kart like the bananas. You have to throw them and timing is crucial. In the excitement of the red shell, my timing is usually way off, and I get smacked anyway.

Objects on the tracks like those cute mushroom guys can be hit with red shells and take the hit for your. Of course, you have to be near one when the red shell is about to hit.

Sharp turns can help in avoiding the red shells. But again, it depends on the track.

Being airborne is also a good tactic for avoiding red shells. So, when one is in-coming, look for a ramp, over-sized mushroom, or something else that will get you in the air.

That’s a few maneuvers that have worked for me. What’s your best tip for avoiding the red shells in Mario Kart?

Mario Kart and Wii Fit both sold well during the month of May. Mario Kart finished in the number 2 spot while Wii Fit came in at number 3. The sales figures are from the NPD Group, which tracks sales of video game products in the United States.

The Nintendo Wii also had a good May in the United States. 675,089 units were sold. Taking the May numbers into account, the Wii lifetime sales has passed 10.2 million. May wasn’t a bad month for Wii Play. The Wii game made up of mini-games that comes with an extra Wiimote sold 295,000. Since it’s released, Wii Play has sold over 5.8 million units.

Of the top 30 selling games for May, 19 are for the Nintendo Wii including We Ski, Game Party, and Guitar Hero III. Pokemon is still a strong franchise for Nintendo as the combined sales of Pokémon® Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Pokémon® Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness were more than 208,000 units.

Many will be traveling this summer to a local theme park to ride some rides and have a good time. There are several Six Flags theme parks across the United States. When I was a kid, there were only two - one in Georgia and one in Texas. Now they are practically everywhere. There are now 21 Six Flag locations in North America, Canada, and Mexico. If you’re not located near one but want to experience all the excitement of Six Flags, have I got a new game to tell you about.

Fun Park is being developed by Brash Entertainment for the Nintendo Wii, DS, and and PlayStation 2. There are 40 mini-games that are based on classic theme park fun. Fun Park is based on the regional Six Flags theme parks. First order of business when playing is to create your character. Once that business is taken care of, it’s time to enter the park and choose which games you want to play. Players can test their skills, win prizes, and play against their friends in Fun Park.

Practice your shooting skills in class games like fill the balloon with water or shoot the moving duck decoys. Fun Park, like the mini-games before it, will make good use of the Wiimote. This type of game is the kind that is great for the Wii and to play with friends. Fun Park will be for the whole family no matter what their ages.

Fun Park has not yet been rated and is still being developed. It will be available this winter.

She’s been dubbed the Wii Fit girl after her boyfriend filmed her playing Wii Fit and uploaded the video to You Tube with the title “why every guy should buy their girlfriend Wii Fit.” Giovanny Gutierrez posted the video without his girlfriend’s consent to You Tube. She was doing the hula hoop in nothing but a t-shirt and underwear.

Needless to say, his girlfriend Lauren Bernat wasn’t too happy about it at first. The video has gotten nearly 2 million views. There have even been other videos posted in response to it. Although both Guiterez and Bernat work in advertising, he is denying that this is a sponsored video. He does admit that he had been wanting to do a viral video.

Apparently Lauren has forgiven him for posting the video.

Harness the power of the wind in this innovative platform adventure game released through WiiWare. You play the game as a young boy named Toku who is recruited to help to release the curse placed on Mistralis by evil Balasar. You use Enril’s elemental powers as you travel through the game.

Lostwinds is a platform game that embraces the functions of the Wiimote and Nunchuk controller. You will use the wind jump, glide, move objects, etc. First you have to guide the wind with the Wiimote, drawing the direction on screen you want it to go. Then you use the Nunchuck to move Toku. It’s a bit of a learning curve but shouldn’t take too long to get the hang of it. The first level of the game is basically a tutorial, so you have ample opportunity to get these skills down pat.

What is most impressive about Lostwinds is that it is only 1000 Wii points. Lostwinds has stunning game with beautiful graphics, soothing music, and fun game play.
