Mario Party 8
If there ever was a franchise game that was made for the Wii, Mario Party would have to be it. This party game veteran title is a perfect choice for the Wii because of the mini-games and multi-player mode. Plus it’s Mario. ‘Nuff said.

Mario Party 8 continues to do this title proud with fun games that make great use of the Wiimote. It’s also a great title to bring out when your friends come over. Gamers and non-gamers can enjoy this one.

Up to four players take turns rolling the dice and moving around one of six new party boards. The idea is to collect coins to buy stars. The player who finishes the game with the most stars is crowned the winner. After each round, there is a mini-game in which all players take part in. This random game can earn you coins, which can be used to buy power ups or stars when you land on the right space. Power ups can give you more dice to roll on a turn or make a space on the board special, giving players who land on it a surprise.

There are dozens of new mini-games as well as “extra-large” mini-games like Star Carnival Bowling and Table Menace. Choose from 14 characters that include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, and Yosh from past Mario games.
Bottom line is that Mario Party 8 is fun and is perfect for the Nintendo Wii. Who better to know the Wii than developer Nintendo with game featuring their flagship character? If you enjoyed past Mario Party titles, then Mario Party 8 will continue the fun.
