Nintendo Takes Top Honors at 1up Awards

1up.com has announced the winners of the 2006 1up Awards. The 1up awards are not chosen by editors they are cosen by the 1up community, Wii titles walked away with four honours this year.

BEST ADVENTURE GAME

Legend of Zelda: Twilight princess

BEST SPORTS/EXTREME SPORTS GAME

Wii Sports

MOST INNOVATIVE GAME
Wii Sports

GAME OF THE YEAR
Drum roll please.

Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess

Still need a reason to go out and get a Wii?

Not to be out done there were some 360 and PC games that took home awards. Surprisingly PS3 titles were absent from the list. Well not totally absent Need For Speed: Carbon did take home the BEST RACING GAME awards however NSF:Carbon is also available on Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2, and PC.

    Yayy I am so happy for nintendo:) It has always been my fave system! Don’t tell the others them may get jealous! I love them all though:D But cmaaaaaan itza me Mariooo

    Still need a reason to go out and get a Wii? Yes, UK stores having enough stocks to meet demand boohoo. 3 months since it’s release and us Brits still can’t walk in to a store and just pick a Wii up off the shelves, it’s ludicrous.
