Rock Band Wii

For those who have been waiting for Rock Band for the Wii, the wait it over. EA Games released Rock Band for the Wii at the end of June.

There are five bonus tracks for the Wii version of Rock Band. Sadly, this version doesn’t have downloadable content, so those of us who already own Rock Band for another console will not get much out of this new release.

Rock Band is rated Teen. The Rock Band bundle for the Wii retails for $169.99.

I am really disappointed to see that this took so long to come out and it is just the limited PS2 version and costs way more. At least there is a song expansion pack coming out in a few weeks.

  2. Lynn Little Says:

I was ready to make the switch and buy the Wii version but with Rock Band 2 so close to being released, I’d just rather get 2 for the PS2 esp. since the Rock Band 2 Wii won’t be available until later.

  3. Kjersti Wasiak Says:

Actually from what I heard the Rock Band 2 for Wii and PS2 are both being released at same time in November 2008. The Xbox 360 version comes out first in September and the PS3 one comes out in October. I have a feeling the delay with the PS2 and Wii versions is not going to mean the same features will be on it as the other versions and they will also be gimped versions. It is not like I am ready to go buy another console for the non-gimped versions or that the gimped version is horrible, but I do feel I should not put up with a gimped version and thus do not want to support the company by buying the game.
